Cold day in hell
I actually rode my bike today for the first time in forever. It was nice to get out for a bit. I also cut my hair for the first time in a year and a half. I was afraid that I was starting to look like a hippie, and you know I can't have that. What else...Alicia and I are making a homade pizza, I'm enjoying a Trippel. Dillon is taking a nap. What have I been up to? Well, Christmas was nice, but busy. We went all over northwest Missouri, and a bit of Iowa in the mix too. Family, you know. Glad to be home. Dillon puked in my eye the other day. Great!! Not a lot else going on, I keep saying I have something interesting goingon, I'll tell soon...

Just a quickie
So on my way to work this morning, I was listening to the radio. The regular news guy must have been taking a crap or something, because I think they just brought in the janitor to do the news. I did learn that I have been misspronouncing gubernatorial though. According to Einstein this morning, it is now "goober national". Yep thats right. I almost wrecked my car. Maybe he meant G Ober nataional. Maybe someone in the back stockroom drew another "O" in there as a prank. A prize will go to anyone that can tell me what movie G Ober is from. Family members are not allowed in the contest.

LOAFING around
Yah, thats me. To clear things up a bit, the Limbo Kid wanted to know why I am wearing a shriners fez in my profile pic. I am a Freemason, Kid. And a Shriner. Suprised? It's actually a cool organization. My grandpa was a shriner and wanted me to join the lodge, so there you go. Speaking of te limbo kid, I hope things are going well for him. Kicking ass and taking names. Email me if you want. Anyhow, not a lot else going on. I am sick. Yah, I think I caught something from the little guy, he was a bit stuffy, but of course it had to settle into my lungs and become something nasty. Good deal, huh? So, no riding for me. No worries tho. I have had couple of new projects to keep me busy indoors anyhow. More on those later. Work is the usual, busy and boring and cold. Oh one cool thing, B-lake fired the Pudd yesterday, so now I will have to find someone else to vent my anger and frustrations on. I did get in some remote action yesterday, that is a gag that never gets stale. VJ put in some 70's disco stuff, hated it, so I was jacking with the stereo via remote. Actually, first he put in the Star Wars episode 4 a new hope music. So, what I would do was let the theme song run for about 5 seconds, then start it over. Again and again. Very annoying, but for some reason the people transferring film are clueless that I am doing this, and they think there is something wrong with the stereo. This is an old trick, and dates back to the days of Brad. So, he finally took the cd out and put in the disco. Every time the female vocalist would make a scream sound, I would repeat it over and over. Very entertaining for me. I used to do that when they would play Pink Floyd, especially during the part on The Wall where they say "Mother are they gonna try and break my balls?" I would just play "my balls" over and over like a broken record. Very funny. I even have a rf modulator that I plug into my computer sometimes so I can play sound clips from the net through the stereo while they are listening to music. There is a dictionary website that you can get the verbal proninciation of words like "knockwurst" or "penis" on. Can you imagine those words just popping up during your favorite cd? Anyway, I am bored when I work. Christmas is almost here, are you ready?

My wife, my master
Congratulations to Alicia!! She just received her Masters degree on Saturday! Dillon and I are so very proud of her and all of the hard work she put in. On top of working full time and going to school, she still made time to take care of Dillon and me. Thanks!!!

Lazy
I am getting bad about updating. Sorry. Do you think I need a haircut? So, I have been riding, but not outside. It is too cold. Instead, I have been riding my rollers, using my powercranks, wishing I was riding my mountain bike. I have been able to get caught up on some episodes of the Dukes of Hazzard, though. State cross was last weekend. I wasn't there, but from what I have heard, Butthead is the new state chimp, with Ethan coming in a close second. Good job guys, and good luck to Jimmiez and Mr. Head on their journey to Rhode Island. It's gonna be nasty there. What else?? Dillon is growing, plumping up. We took him to the doc for his 4 month the other day and he was almost 16.5 pounds!! He weighs almost as much as my road bike. Alicia has one more class left before she gets her masters!! Yay!!! I am very proud of her, especially for putting up with me while going to school full time. My work is sucking, things are getting stupid busy around there, and I am not very happy with some of the situations there. They keep hiring complete tools to do the work. It is fun torturing them, though. We have these really thick plastic ziplock bags that we put the customers film in, when you fill them up with air and pop them it is the equivalent of a small caliber pistol going off. Fun times. So, I have been using them to stay entertained. I like to scare the shit out of them, and yesterday I actually taped a couple of the newbies jumping out of their seats when I popped one. I am in the process of getting everything Les Claypool has ever done, it should be ready to burn later today. I have been buying and selling on ebay. Not a lot else.

Turkey
Yah, I ate some turkey yesterday. We went over to the Kippenbergers house and had thanksgiving dinner. Very tasty. Drank some wine and beers. Good times indeed. I also have been mountain biking. I have a Cannondale Scalpel now, I think I am going to do some mountain bike racing next season, maybe ease back on the road scene a bit. Whatever, I am just having fun riding right now. Except, it was cold yesterday. What else...Dillon is growing like crazy. I guess thats to be expected, tho. Alicia is doing well, starting to wind down school (finally). I have been just doing the regular, work, hanging out with Alicia and Dillon, riding here and there, ebaying, videogames, etc. I ordered a few books off of amazon.com yesterday, a couple of Clive Barker novels. I have been listening to the new System of a Down album pretty much non stop. It is really good. Work is busy as usual, and pretty lame. I get everything all caught up, only to come back 2 days later to find us behind again. There are too many people working here that I dont know, it is really starting to get to me. Not a whole lot else going on, I need to sell some more stuff on ebay.

Quickie
I am at work on my lunch break eating left over Mexican food. So, not a lot has been going on, I've been riding a little, lifting a little, running a little, and hanging out with Dillon a lot. He is one cool kid, it's sweet being able to play more with him now and have a bit of fun. Did I mention that he has diarhea? So, work sux. They hired a bunch of tools to work out here, basically people without any expertise in film or video production. I am getting sick of having to fix peoples problems. I might explode soon. I sold my timetrial bike to Micah's future father in law. It will be missed. I also sold my Zipp 404's. Also will be missed. I have been an ebay whore lately, selling and buying like crazy. I am still playing Zelda the Windwaker, it is a great game. Also, I picked up Mario Kart DS yesterday, it is the first wifi compatible DS game. It is also sweet, always being able to race someone. Alicia is doing well, just about wrapping up school. We went to St Joe last weekend to see family, I took the Lenz, which was a mistake. Krug was a mess, covered in leaves and roots all over theplace. Also, it is hilly and lugging a 45 pound dual slalom bike with a single ring up all of those climbs was not fun. What else... I hate UPS!!! Never ever ever ever use them, they suck. Thats about all I have for now, I'll post some cool pics soon. Also, I think Matt Racine from www.mattracine.com is coming up for the weekend. Maybe Faders too???

Clutz
I am a clutz. I spilled coffee all over my laptop. Then Dillon vomitted on it. Whats been up? Not a lot, i have been riding a bit. The doc says I need to do some physical therapy, so I guess thats it.... We went to St Joe last weekend. I saw a place that Butthead would hangout at if he evervisited the town:
I didn't go in, but I'm sure it is hot. While we were in St Joe, Dillon puked in my face. Thats right, he full on upchucked in my face and even got some in my mouth. Tasty. I am playing Legend of Zelda: the Windwaker on the cube right now, it is pretty good. Not a lot else going on, just chillin with Dillon (rhyme(.

Oscar
My cat is retarted. I am sitting here watching "the Boy" (Dillon) and playing with him and the cat. Oscar, being a kitten and not schooled in the ways of the world, enjoys chasing reflected light from a mirror I am playing with Dillon with. So, when the light stops moving and is stopped on the ceiling, he gets mad (Oscar) and starts meowing. Nice. Then he makes this chattering noise like ach ach ach and meows some more. Poor little guy. Anyway, not a lot going on. Alicia and I went hiking on Saturday out at Rock Bridge with dillon, I got the luxury of wearing the harness and toting his 12 pound bulk up and down the trails. I was a bit schwetty after that. Of course we had Mexican food after that. Then yesterday we went to the Punkin Fest in hartsburg and looked at all of the Hillbillies. Actually it was prety cool, lots of walking and carrying "the Boy" again anddrinking a bit of beer. Then a bbq at the Kippenbergers where dillon, on cue, blew up and we had to call it a night. We walked up to their place, actually Alicia carried dillon and I rode the Lenz with the Burley on the back to take our food and beer. So, since we left a bit ahead of schedule, I had just cracked open a fresh beer. So here is alicia carrying "the Boy" while he is crying, me riding my dual slalom bike with a burley trailer with beer in it next to her, and I am also drinking a beer and riding no handed since I am still not supposed to be using my left arm.. Kodak moment for sure. What else...hopefully I will be riding a bit after this week, I see the doc on thursday. Im not sure, tho, I am still sore. I need to stay off ebay, I think I have a problem. I am starting a boy band, does anyone want to join in with me? Butthead??

Broken
So it as been a while since I last updated this turd. A lot has been going on. First off, some sad news. As I am sure you probably know, Al Dziewa passed away a couple of weeks ago after a lengthy battle with cancer. He will be missed by his family and friends, Al was the guy that would give you the shirt off his back, and his pants too if needed. He always made us feel welcome at his house, feeding us and treating us like family. The first time I really got to know Al was back in the Ritchey days in Fayetteville. He took us all out to eat at the Hogs Head diner and taught us an invalueable lesson about glasses that are beer clean. Al had a passion for life, his family, and cycling, and like I said, will be missed. Rest in peace...
Ok, so not a lot else has been up. My shoulder is still sore, but I think it is getting better. I go to the doc next week to see what the verdict is, maybe I will finally be able ta start using my left arm again. Dillon has been growing like crazy, and developing a personality. He is the coolest, I took him for his first bike ride the other day, I rolled with one arm, but I think he liked it... Alicia is doing well, work and school. What else. Work. Not a lot there, just the same. I am staying home on tuesdays and thursdays and taking care of dillon, that way we wont have to use childcare. So, you can come see me if you want. Bike racing...what is that??? No seriously, i see that Butthead has been rip;ping it up at cross races already, I am putting my money on him to rock state cross this year. No cross for me, tho, after not riding for 6 weeks, I am out of shape and fat. I promise I will update more, I have some stuff I'll be throwing up on ebay soon (collectible knives, sunglasses, meh some bike parts), so I'll post a link.

Poots
So, isn't Dillon the cutest? Seriously. So, not a lot going on. I am gimped up; I had pins put in my shoulder last wednesday, and it hurts. So, I have been off the bike for a while, and will continue to be off the bike for a while. Thanks to Mark, Sarah, TJ, Curt and Krista for getting us a Burley trailer for a baby gift, and thanks to everyone else that came to the shower and bought us gifts. You are the best. Also thanks to Kristas pops, Denis, who finished our bathroom for us last wekend and Jonathan for getting our new recliner for us. What else...I have been using the compex to keep my legs in shape. I have not been to work for a week. I am going to try to go back tomorrow. I am starting to jones to ride again, but I will have to take it easy for a while, I dont want to reinjure my shoulder. I guess you have also heard that Curt is going to ride for Mercy. Good for him, good luck!! I am going to miss having him around as much, but oh well, it is a step in the right direction for him. That is about all I have for now, my shoulder is hurting, so I am going to kick it...

Drizzopped
So I am sitting here on the couch finishing off a tasty beverage from Tropical Liquers. Curt and I headed to sedalia for a crit; i got dropped after 4 or 5 laps, Curt was rolling great till he ate shit into a curb after being pushed into it; broke his fork and rails on his saddle. So, he took a free lap (or 3) and got back in, I got back in with him, immediately went to the back, and got dropped again. Thats what you get for not riding... So, I drank a beer and headed home. This past wek has been ok, work, some weight lifting and track bike riding, and hanging with Alicia and Dillon. I am not in race shape, so I will not be at gateway cup (I think). What else...I turned 30 on thursday, happy b-day to me, I had to work, but did get to go out friday night with Kershas, Kippenbergers, TJ, and the Javas for some mexican food. I got Nintendogs for my Nintendo DS, so now I have a Siberian Husky to play with, virtual reality like. I also have a new cell phone on the way to replace the hunk of junk I currently have. Dillon is growing; I am pretty stoked to see what happens with the kid in the next few years, especially when he begins to communicate a little more. Not a lot else going on, tomorrow is going to be a chill day, maybe a little riding and some homework and the weekly trip to wal mart and some groceries. Then back to work. Mondays at work are usually rough since weg get a lot of orders in and it is a little backed up from the weekend. Oh yah, thanks to Curt and http://www.saris.com for the hookup on the roof rack. I'll post some pics of the car with it installed soon...

For Ryan
Tonight Alicia and I went to Jon and Leslie's reception. I was told by Ryan Hermesmeyer that I need to update more and he gets really mad when people dont update their blogs in a timely fashion. So, this post is for him. So, I have been riding pretty consistently, pretty much every day for a while on my new track bike. It is fun, and I am liking cycling again. So, I might, just might, race at the Gayway Cup this year. Meathead and I went out for a little ridey-poo today, nothing huge, but it was a good time none the less. It was good to ride with the dude and push the pace on some of the rollers around here, adterwards we went and got coffee. Alicia and I had a bit of running to do before the party, we gave dillon his first full bath (you cant bathe a baby properly till the umbilical cord comes off). That was nice; he ws starting to stink. Just kidding. So, alicia and I got kitted up and went to the reception. It was a good time, I drank beer, Dillon was a hit even though he crapped his pants while Josie H was holding him. The meatheads were there, and Tim and Drea Ranek as well. It was good to hang out and socialize. Curt is at Downers Grove. I have been thinking about him a lot today, him and Matt Racine and Tyrone Jerome. Dreaming of them in their tight spandex cycling outfits. Seriously, tho, hopefully they are having a good ride out there. What else...I need to cut the grass, it is getting long. I think I am going to put a couple of goats in the yard and let them have at it.

Cashed
So I am at work on my dinner break. Thats right, dinner. I am now working from 2 till 10 at night, which pretty much sux. So, the past week has been a blur for the most part. No sleep, some riding, and a bit of anger. So, Dillon hasnt been sleeping very much at night, which is putting a serious strain on Alicia and me. It seems like he is eating non stop, which is good, but it is cracking me big time. I got my track bike built up thanks to http://www.waltsbikeshop.com. Orbea Pista. Pretty dope, no brakes, lots of fun on the roads around here. I'll post a pic or 2 soon. Work has been busy, just a lot going on and a lot more responsibility. I am back in school, too, but I am going online. No Tour of KC for me, but it rained hard anyway so I didnt miss out on much. I think i might try to race in sedalia next saturday night, but I'll have to wait and see. Not a lot else, just suffering.

Work
I just got done riding with Curtie. big Tree, pretty chill. We were going to go hard, but Curt was tired and I frankly didn't want to do anything faster then a slow crawl. WSe even got drizzopped by some old dude riding a vintage road bike with no shirt. Yesterday was the first day on my new work schedule, 12-8. It kind of sucked. I am pretty bummed to be away from home and my wife and son. I know it sounds sappy, but it is the truth. So, we got our air conditioner fixed yesterday, so I got a bit of better sleep klast night. Lets see, what else...not a lot I guess, I am going to take a shower and get ready for work.

This just in
State Crit
Well today was state crit. I opted out of the 1/2 race and decided to do the masters race instead since I haven't had a whole lot of time to train lately. Well, it was pretty hard. I ended up in a move on the first lap that stayed away for a good chunk of the race. Then I flatted. I got a wheel change from Merli which threw my shifting way off, but it got me back in the race. Covered some moves and got in a few more breaks, but the winning move went up the road without me in it. I was a bit surprised that it stuck, but the Gateway boys were doing a good job of shutting things down. I thought that the 30+ winner was up the road, so I wasn't too interested in making a late race move. Bad decision, both of the guys up the road were 35+. So, Mark Murawski won the jersey (I think), I ended up 5th. Bummer, but I was happy with the way I rode, I was just trying to stay agressive and get in a good move. We rolled out pretty soon after that so we could get the little guy home. So, I guess we are going to go over to Curts tonight for a litle BBQ action then hopefully some relaxation at home.

New stuff
Ok. So this is going to be the raw stuff in my life, un-edited and whatnot. So yeah, last weekend my son was born. The experience has been amazing so far, and a lot of funny things have happend. Like the other day when I was changing Dillon and he decided to simultaneously shit, piss, and puke all at once. I was trying to catch his poop in one hand and his pee in the other; there was nothing I could do about the puke. Nice. He farts a lot (takes after me). So, he is the greatest thing to ever happen to me, actually tied with being married to Alicia. So, right now I am waiting for Curt to call me so we can go for a short ride. My motivation has been pretty low lately, ride wise, I am glad the end of the season is coming up. I guess I am doing state crit tomorrow, but I am going to do the masters 30+ race. What else...I took a huge dump this morning, it was almost as big around as my Nalgene bottle. I have been playing Resident evil 4 tons, it is the best game ever. Nothing like decapatating some zombies to really make you feel better about yourself. Also been reading the new Harry Potter, it rules too. Thats about all I've got to say now, I just talked to Curt and we are going riding.
